Equipping gospel-workers for faithful service
We train pastors, students and lay leaders to handle God’s Word faithfully. Our goal is a Church in South Sudan grounded in the gospel and sound doctrine.
Who we are
Gospel Training Initiative equips pastors, students and lay leaders to handle God’s Word faithfully. We are a non-denominational, non-profit organisation registered in South Sudan in April 2026.
The Church here is growing, yet many gospel workers have never had the chance of in-depth Bible training. GTI exists to close that gap by strengthening the local church — never replacing it.
What we do
Mobile · Informal
Mobile workshops that take training to pastors, clergy and lay leaders where they already serve. Two groups of twenty meet five times across ten months in Juba and Rokon.
Programme details
Classroom · Six months
A six-month, full-time programme at our Juba training centre. Students are identified by their local church and supported by bursaries so cost never hinders a calling.
Programme details
Events · Ongoing
Refresher workshops, seminars and conferences that keep graduates growing — including GTI’s first mini-conference, planned for mid-August 2028.
Support after trainingEvents
Mobile workshops, teaching days and conferences that take in-depth Bible training to the people who need it — wherever they already serve.
Why this matters
South Sudan has more than a century of Christian history and a growing Church — yet a critical shortage of trained Bible teachers. That is the gap GTI was founded to close.
